Having a piece of land, or a territory if you will, is only half the work. It’s what you do with it that really counts. Declaring it to be an independent state is already something but one can do so much more. Almost every macronation has its national monuments and many smaller ones too. And now it is time for micronations to follow! Thus, with the Micronational Travel and Sightseeing Association launching its operations, we present you with an opportunity to create sights for people to visit in your micronation.

 

Tasks:

1. Construct a Monument for your micronation.

2. Release a stamp, postcard, coin, or banknote featuring this monument

 

Rules:

-The monument must be located within your micronation’s territory, ceremonial territory or within an official residence, government office, or embassy.

-The monument must be at least partially contructed by yourself, it can’t be a single prefabricated item and must be unique.

-The monument should, ideally, not be smaller than 10x10 cm

 

And make sure to share your monuments with everyone, using #microyearofmonuments and make use of our official logo.
